An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside a home early Wednesday morning, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Serena Christopher lives right next door to where the woman was found dead, and she said the woman and her family have lived here for several years.”It’s just very disturbing and unsettling, and we want to know what happened,” Christopher said. “We can’t believe someone that we knew has died in such a brutal way.”Placer County Search and Rescue teams were also in the neighborhood Wednesday, canvassing the community for evidence, or anything that might lead detectives to whoever committed the crime.
